Hey, you found us! Welcome to the Geek Girls Guide: a safe space for you to ask all the questions you’re afraid to ask in a crowd. If you found us because you were listening to the Lori & Julia Show today – great! I wanted to give you an idea of some of the things we’re planning to feature on the blog in the very near future. So stay tuned, here’s what’s coming up:
- Gini Dietrich, CEO of Arment Dietrich Public Relations in Chicago, will be guest blogging about tips for writing your bio — online and off.
- Sarah Evans, also known as @prsarahevans of Twitter/#journchat fame, will be sharing her story: how a non-geek girl built a brand through tech/social media know-how.
- Nate Burgos of Design Feast will talk about how 37 Signals‘ Backpack application made his life simpler.
- In an upcoming podcast, Meghan and I interview our friends Nancylee Myatt, Maeve Quinlan, Maile Flanagan and Paige Bernhardt — a group of female producers, actors and writers in Hollywood — about their experience creating entertainment-based content for the web. (Nancylee is an award winning producer/writer/director who wrote the final episode of Night Court and brought us the cult favorite, South of Nowhere. You might recognize Maeve from her years on The Bold and the Beautiful. She’s currently starring in Sony Pictures’ Not Easily Broken and the CW’s new 90210. And Maile is the emmy winning talent behind Jakers, the Adventures of Piggley Winks and Naruto.)
